Be a HAPS Hero

You can be a hero to thousands of individuals living with Parkinson's disease in the Houston area. There are many ways you can get involved and help HAPS carry out our mission to improve the quality of life for those affected by PD. You do not need to have super powers to be a hero; you can make a difference as a donor, a fundraiser or a volunteer.

You can be a Hero: your contribution will buy...

• $25 One round-trip ride to a doctor's appointment
• $50 Three hours of respite
• $100 Four round-trip rides to weekly exercise groups
• $250 Five exercise, speech, water or dance groups
• $500 One month of Parkinson's prescriptions
• $1000 Fully installed wheelchair ramp or one hospital bed

With a small staff of four, volunteers are essential. HAPS volunteers help in a variety of ways, most importantly with planning and producing special events.
