The mission of the Houston Area Parkinson Society is to improve the quality of life for those affected by Parkinson's disease through services, education and advocacy.

HAPS partners with Home Instead Senior Care to provide trained aides to assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, etc.) for the individual with Parkinson's disease and to give caregivers the benefit of a few personal hours of respite.

Assistance is provided on a sliding scale if the client meets the financial eligibility requirements, and clients are responsible for a portion of the hourly rate. To learn more about this program, contact Kathleen Crist, LMSW at 713-626-7114.
