The mission of the Houston Area Parkinson Society is to improve the quality of life for those affected by Parkinson's disease through services, education and advocacy.

With its Parkinson Enrichment Program (PEP), HAPS aims to provide a unique social setting that encourages those with mild to moderate Parkinson’s disease to join in a small group of their peers in various therapeutic programs and informational sessions, along with opportunities for fun and meaningful interactions over a period of five consecutive Fridays.

PEP meets quarterly with different agendas and participants at each session to provide enrichment and education throughout the year. Past sessions include tango, Wii, brain games, virtual travel, singing, yoga, group exercise, water coloring, photography and more.

Registration is required. For more information, please contact Celeste Harris at 713-313-1706 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
